Calma (2012)

'Calma' is a short film that portrays the rough work of a Chilean farmer during the 1990s. In order to replant next years crops, he finds himself in desperate need to burn last years stubble. So he unleashes a hellfire that no fellow worker will support. On his own, things start to get incredibly strange as his loyal dogs also try to alert him of a horrid scenario, but his mind is set on burning. The dogs act bizarre and bark at the open field. Unable to see the past his fury, nor the clear signs, the farmer gets into an accident that ends up taking his life, as if the dogs had foreseen it. He dies burnt to death by his own fiery creation.
