Love. Cracker. Community. Nigger. Bitch. Beautiful. Faggot. Peace. Many emotions are attached to each word, and popular culture has often used these words to exploit those emotions. In America, the right to free speech is a liberty our forefathers knew would allow us to express our thoughts at any time. Does this liberty give us the right to openly hurt one another with our words? When Jay-Z says "Ho," it's triple platinum. When Don Imus says it, it's the unemployment line. A Weigh with Words will explore how the words we use invoke conflict and compassion in our community. With interviews from political figures, professors, high school students and entertainers, this documentary will explore the power of words.
