(Un)Common Sounds (2013)

Sixteen musicians and scholars gather in Lebanon and Indonesia to explore peace through music. They come from political hot spots like Egypt, Malaysia, Libya, and the United States. From punk rock to classical Arabic music, their songs create a space where differences in faith and culture are both affirmed and overcome. In a world where Muslims and Christians are often in the headlines due to violent uprisings, (un)Common Sounds offers a hopeful alternative.
