The Crane Wife (2013)

Born into the circus and mistreated all her life, the Crane is a woman like no other. With beautiful wings in place of arms she struggles to find acceptance within a world that favors conformity. That is until one night, when a lonely man sees her for the beautiful creature that she is and takes her away from her old life. Soon he must choose what he really wants from his life and the beautiful creature who is now under his wings. Based on the Japanese folktale, The Crane Wife is a strongly cinematic film written and photographed by Jordan Agutter.
