As World War II unfolds, agents Max Vatan and Marianne Beauséjour are on a mission in Casablanca and they fall in love. Eventually, Max receives a warning that Marianne is not who she says she is and is most likely a nazi spy. As they face a lethal test with international consequences, suspicion and danger engulf the couple.
