The Nightless City (2014)

In the aftermath of the Fukushima nuclear incident, Mariko becomes unable to sleep. She therefore decides to move to Sicily to stay with Rocco. There she discovers that she is able to sleep again, but only when driven around at night, nurtured by the lights of the unknown city. The day thus becomes a new invigorating domain for her, an opportunity to rediscover and reinterpret the signs and meanings of her life through her skills of photographer.
