The Beach (2006)

OUTLINE: A little Boy and his Father are spending a day on the Beach, but this is no ordinary Beach - this is a re-imagining of the World Press Photo of 2004 taken by Jean-Marc Bouju during the Iraq War of 2003. This is an allegorical tale of the 'war on terror', dealing with Western Terrorism and Islamic Terrorism, a metaphor of how innocence is vanquished in war. SHORT SYNOPSIS: When a Little Boy and his Father spend the day at The Beach, they have to deal with more than meets the eye. The Father has to try and protect his son from the reality of the outside world, before it is too late. This is no ordinary Beach. Inspired by the World Press Photo of 2004 taken by Jean-Marc Bouju.
