Barbacana, on the Trail of the Wolf (2018)

This novel production interweaves three stories. The first involves the crew of Acajú and their attempt to film wolves in the wild. They will have to confront this difficult challenge and overcome the many trials of a film of this nature. Additionally, the life of a wolf pack will be presented in its natural environment. We will witness the birth of new pups and become familiar with the day to day goings-on in an extended family clan. Finally, we will delve into the social reality of the wolf, a species that incites both passion and hatred, which generates both love and loathing; farmers who are for and against the wolf. Three parallel stories converging in time and space; an account of effort and overcoming that seeks to highlight the importance of wolves in Iberian ecosystems and the conservation problems they face. All filming will be done with the latest digital cinematic cameras and the most advanced filmmaking tools. A spectacle of image and sound for our senses.
