Elliott a young man in his 30s had a normal life as an office worker. Had a family, kids. After an unfortunate turn of events he commits suicide. Expecting it to be the end, he is surprised when he finds himself in a bar called "L1MB0" - a metaphorical personification of an actual Purgatory. His first encounter with the system shows how one of the clients is being called out by an assigned number and forced to move on against his will. The Man on the screen speaks your number, your wristband turns green and you must go through one of the assigned doors - either left or right.
