Martha

Far in the future - when humanity has colonized the stars - Dr. Blake is a scientist working on a rebel base on a distant, barren military outpost planet. When the rebel base is destroyed, so is all her work - except for one remaining project. Martha is an advanced artificial intelligence - so close to human that there may, morally, be no difference. She was created to be a reconnaissance android, for her unique ability to lie. However, while Dr. Blake wants to preserve her greatest creation, the rebels have different ideas. Namely, what was Martha doing on the destroyed base? But Martha records everything she sees. Was she captured because she is a legitimate suspect, or because she witnessed something unforgivable? Does her sole loyalty to Dr. Blake, and not 'the cause', make her an intolerable, neutral third party? Dr. Blake fights to uncover the truth, but it may already be too late.
