Alexis Guarneros was born in June 17th, 1993 in Mexico City. At a very early age he started to show interest in performing arts when he started doing impressions of every single character of Disney movies and recreating the scenes on his own. After many years of singing in the choir of school and insisting his parents to support his dreams of becoming a professional actor and singer, he was finally enrolled in Musical Theater and TV workshops and by the age of 13, he joined the M&M Studio of the Mexican actress Patricia Reyes Spindola where he immediately landed the leading roles in junior productions of the musicals Godspell and Peter Pan, blowing the audiences away and receiving standing ovations. This triumph also leaded him to originate new roles in new shows for local performances in Mexico City. He also appeared three times in different episodes of the Mexican TV Series "La Rosa de Guadalupe". In 2010, he reached enormous success in cultural festivals and contests where the juries unanimously decided to give him awards of "1st place" and "Best Actor" for portraying the role of the Russian Author Anton Chekhov and the role of Bariona in the play "Bariona, The son of thunder" written by Jean Paul Sartre, respectively. Those cultural events were organized by The Autonomous National University of Mexico, which is the most important of Latin America. Such events are so important in Mexico because they bring together multiple talents and numerous stage productions from all around the country. Two years later, he won his first International recognition and success for his first English Performance ever, when The Anglo Mexican Foundation invited him to participate in an international Shakespearean Competition, in which he played outstanding performances of the monologue of the famous character Nick Bottom of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and of the 129th Sonnet. The juries decided to grant him the 1st place of the competition and grant him a 100% scholarship for an acting summer program in Oxford, UK which culminated with a staging of "Twelfth Night: Or what you will" where Alexis played the role of Malvolio, which granted him a standing ovation from the British Audience. After those experiences, in 2013 Alexis decided to continue his career in the United States and enrolled The New York Film Academy, where he studied Musical Theater & Acting for film under such important people in the NY's show business such as: Deidre Goodwin and Blanche Baker. The Academy started to stage Off-Broadway productions of the famous Tony award winner musicals: "Spring Awakening" and "The Wedding Singer". After auditioning, Alexis got such important parts in all of the productions and received critical acclaim from the audiences because of his amazing performances. In 2014 he played one of the leading roles in the short movie musical Start-Up.com which was screened at several film festivals, including the 2016 Tampa Bay Film Festival, organized by the Tampa Bay Arts & Education Network which reached over a million and a half viewers. In addition to that, the film was recipient of a Laurel of Excellence Award. Most recently, Alexis has been working non stop in several musical theater projects with tremendous success, such as the US tour of the children's musical "Miss Nelson is Missing" produced by Two Beans / Theatreworks USA, which was seen by huge amount of audiences all over the US. Other theatrical credits include the smash hit "My Superhero Roberto Clemente" with the acclaimed Latino theater company Teatro SEA, as well as the musicals "Yosef" and "Where Angels Fear To Tread". Alexis has been recently featured in the Web Series "We Speak NYC: WANY" which is supported by the New York City government and narrates the stories about the lives of working class immigrants who come from all over the world to make New York their home. The premiere of season 2 is expected to take place on May 9th, 2018.
