Scot Silver got a taste of the rest of his life when he started as a Special effects assistant to Rick Josphsen in 1986. He was caught up in the magic of telling stories on film. After working on several productions, Scot wanted to produce his own films, not sure what exactly that was going to entail. Scot left the movie industry in 1991 opening up his own welding shop and expanding it to a full fledged construction company. When Scot married his sweetheart Cynthia Hatch he told her he would one day produce his own movie. He never let his dream of producing his own film far from him. 15 years later, not any closer to that dream, Scot changed his direction with the help of his wife. "Put up or shut up" was what she told him. With that in mind, Scot sold everything... 40 acres, house, backhoes and cranes, to embark on making his dream a reality. With the help of his wife, he put together the script he had in mind and bought cameras, equipment and build dollies and Chapman to film the movie. The script was started in September of 2006, the filming took 3 months and post production another year. In the end Scot was able to not only produce his own film but wrote, directed and acted in it, now completed - "Dead Man on the Run". "Dead Man on the Run" premiered in the Xango Grand Theater at the Scera Center for the Arts in Orem, Utah. Over 250 people excitedly attended the long awaited premier.
