Shirleen Wangari is a Kenyan actress, writer producer. She started acting in high school where she won her first best actress award. She has acted in Various films and on TV series including, BBC's the first grader, the captain of Nakara on Netflix, MTV Shuga, Zuku's State house, sense 8 on Netfilx. She has written work that has been selected at Cannes film Festival (Dawn-2018) and Durban Film Mart (An African Tale 2017). In 2021 she is producing 'Guatha', a post apocalyptic feature film set in 2035 South Africa with untitled entertainment funded by Kwa Zulu Natal film commission, 'Wavamizi' a period piece on the Portuguese occupation of Mombasa (1600's). She runs Blackwell films in Nairobi.
