Hamid Naseri Moghadam was born on July 27, 1978 in Neyshaboor, Iran. As a kid, he was interested in soccer, karate, photography and piano, but eventually he continued his way into the cinema industry. He enrolled in the filmmaking course of Iran Young Cinema Society (IYCS) in 2000 and made several fiction, experimental and animated short films. Hamid entered Sooreh Art University in 2002 and studied Film Directing. He made Cul-de-sac (2003), Lottery (2004) and participated in three photography exhibitions. He wrote and directed short film To Turn (2006) as his university final project under consultancy of Dr. Ahmad Alasti. It was among the official selections of Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival in 2007 and received the Special Mention of the jury in Paris Tout Courts Festival. In 2007, Hamid founded Ravash Honar Company and produced hundreds of advertisements, industrial, educational and short films. He made his first short documentary film Firoozeh (Turquoise) (2008). After that, he made several other short films like Suddenly, Snow (2009), The Curtain Dances in the Wind (2016) and Like a Dog (2022). Hamid has been a permanent member of Iranian Short Film Association (ISFA) since 2008. He was a jury member in the Screenplay Section of The First Salamat Literature Festival in 2018. Also, he served as a jury member in three editions of Iran Independent Short Film Festival (2017, 2018 and 2021). In 2022 he served as an international jury in North Hollywood International Film Festival.
