Kim Akia

Kim Akia is a New Jersey native. She has appeared as a principal actor in numerous television commercials & Industrials for brands: IBM, Oreo Thins, Microsoft, Pfizer, Honeywell, Sesame Street, Harlequin Romance Novels, Goldman Sachs, New Jersey Lottery and more... Kim Akia has also appeared as in Season 9 as a co-star on ABC's Primetime hit show, "Blue Bloods" and has done voice-overs work for IBM and Harlequin Romance Novels. Kim Akia was also a recurring principal promo actor for ABC's Good Morning America, appearing in their promos for Keurig Latte and Air Wick. She has also worked on award-winning films and TV pilots. Kim Akia is also a screenwriter. In 2019, she was a writer in Etre Productions Writer's Room. During her tenure in the writers room, she co-wrote commercials, reality TV shows, short films, and a scripted television series. From a very young age, Kim Akia would always impersonate and mock characters from television. She studied dance, gymnastics, and played the piano and flute, but began taking acting classes at the age of 14 shortly after her move to Virginia Beach, Virginia. She starred in her first play in High School, playing the lead character in a play that she produced. After high school, she realized she had a deep interest in entertainment, specifically behind the scenes in television and film. She decided to extend her college studies in that direction. Kim Akia is a graduate of St. Johns University in Queens, New York with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Television/Film Production and a Masters in Media Management from Metropolitan College of New York. In 2015, she completed the two-year Conservatory Program at The William Esper Studio in New York City.
