Most recent, Meryl received funding through the US Embassy Kyiv to shoot her first foreign short in Kyiv Ukraine, Entre le Loup et Le Chien, a dance-based docu drama featuring the stories and dancing bodies of Russian LGBT refugees seeking asylum in Ukraine. Her film, le Pain won the Audience Choice award at East End Film Festival London, and Best Editing at Madrid International Film Festival. Choreographically her work has been presented at the Contemporary Art Center New Orleans, REDCAT Los Angeles, Soho Rep NYC, Kunstquartier Bethanien Berlin Germany, the Fusebox Festival Austin Texas, and Prospect 4 International Art Biennial. She has been a guest lecturer in dance and cinema at ImpulsTanz International Dance Festival in Vienna Austria, Zelyonka International Dance Festival in Kyiv Ukraine, CalState Long Beach, Tulane University, Yale University, University of Maine in Bangor, and a fully funded artist in resident at FIX-in Art in Thessaloniki Greece, and IZOLYATSIA in Kyiv Ukraine. She is the artistic director of FLOCK a constellation of distinct individuals dedicated to pushing the boundaries of contemporary dance in performance and in film based in New Orleans, LA. She has a BFA from NYU Tisch and an MFA from California Institute for the Arts.
