György Dora

George Dora has been in the entertainment industry for close to 30 years. He began as an actor at the Hungarian National Theater in Budapest in 1991. George co-founded NBG Production Company in 1993, where he produced more than 600 cooking episodes for TV. In the late 1990s, George produced music videos and TV commercial spots. He co-wrote and was Executive Producer on the 1999 hit action feature, Európa Expressz,which was released in the U.S., Germany, Russia, and South Korea in addition to Hungary. He worked with TV2 and HBO Hungary from 1998 to 2006. In 2005 George co-produced the movie Szoke Kóla voted "Comedy of the Year" by Hungarian audiences at Vidor Festival. George was invited to join the Hungarian Film Academy in 2014. He produced the erotic thriller LogIn, which also found foreign release, and was screened in competition at the NOVA Film Festival in the U.S. in 2015. Same year he joined Sinus Media which concentrates on providing production services to high budget foreign movies shot in Hungary. In 2018 he founded Madagascar Studios in Antananarivo. He has been teaching at the Pécs University of Science since 2020. From 2022, he is the Art Curator at Responsum Foundation.
