Jeff was born in East Los Angeles, CA. His parents divorced when he was three and he was raised by his immigrant grandparents who came from Cuba. His Father, Richard Hathcock, was a television and newspaper reporter in Los Angeles who covered some of the biggest stories in L.A. history. His mother was a successful real estate broker and restauranteur. Jeff graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelors Degree in Theater Arts. While there, he made his first feature film, a western called "Three Sided Coin" using college talent and a 16mm Bolex camera! He worked for Disneyland as a writer for their theme park and special events which led to an opportunity to write for Academy Award winner Walter Matthau, Emmy Award winner Jack Klugman and the radio jingle for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. He then became Talent Supervisor for Knott's Berry Farm where he wrote and directed Knott's summer 1982 attraction "Calico Square Shootout." and directed "Knott's 60th Anniversary Celebration" which re-created the drilling of the Golden Spike uniting the two railroads at Promontory Point, Utah. He started the Theatre Guild and Southeast Civic Light Opera in 1994 and has directed 180 stage plays. In between plays he wrote and directed seven movie features, four of which have become cult classics. His latest, "The Two Pamelas" received a 9.1 rating on IMDb. Hathcock has also written three novels, "Cult of the Cobra," "Eye of the Cobra," and The Society of Heaven and Earth." All are with Three Corners Publishing.
