Manolis Rovithis

Emmanouel Rovithis is an electronic music composer, born and based in Athens, Greece. He holds a PhD in Electronic Music Composition from the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University in Corfu, Greece, and an MA in Music Composition from the Anglia Polytechnic University in Cambridge, UK. He has a strong background in music composition and sound design for theatre and cinema, which has resulted in collaborations with prominent directors and institutions. His works for theatre are signed by his actual name, whereas his works for motion pictures have been signed by the aliases "Asad" and "Savage Mambas" in the movies "The Last Pornmovie" and "Tsiou" respectively. He is employed as Laboratory Research and Teaching Staff at the Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University. His research focuses on the design of Augmented Reality and Audio Interactive applications for educational, entertaining, and music-creative purposes.
