Onuora Abuah is known for his thought-provoking films and documentaries which shine a light on history and politics. A prolific filmmaker, Onuora has also produced an array of shorts and documentaries on diverse topics such as Voodoo, trans-Saharan migration and Ancient Egypt. He began his career as an actor on London's stage and after two critically acclaimed theatrical runs of his play "Another Biafra", he directed the award-winning short The Unlucky Mother (2011) before directing his first feature, Woolwich Boys (2012). His next film was the political-thriller Mona (2016), which screened at several film festivals and was nominated for several awards. Born in Kenya to a Rwandese Mother and Nigerian Father, he spent his childhood across Africa, Switzerland and the UK. He is also a graduate of London's Central Film School.
