Jamie Hargadon

Daniel James Hargadon or better known as Jamie Hargadon was born on August 9th, 1991 in Southampton, Hampshire, to Tijen Utku and Richard James Hargadon, who was a typesetter and prepress manager. His father was born at a British military base in Germany and is of English-Irish descent, and his mother is of Turkish origins. He was educated at Bishopsford Community School in south London and went on to study at Kingston College, Greater London, before attending Southampton City College in 2011, where he gained an NVQ in Film, Television and Radio Media. After college, Hargadon attempted to pursue a radio presenting career with a specialist 2-hour FM show called "The Late Show", a late evening, comedy, talk show that would play music between every 10 - 15 minutes. Pulling inspiration from existing radio shows like "The Ricky Gervais Show" and "Opie & Anthony". Hargadon would often have recurring guests and a rotation of different co-hosts throughout the show's 4-year run. "The Late Show" went on to win an award from the Southampton Mayor in December 2013 for achievements in entertainment from the city of Southampton and reaching syndication online in 15 countries. By 2013, Hargadon decided to pursue what he claims is a truer passion which was writing and directing and began work on the series, "The Fray" (2020), and film scripts such as "Black Box" (2013), "Purple Hyun-Sun" (2014) and "Captain Silver" (2019). Hargadon was awarded 1st place at the Philip Bloom Gratical Eye film competition in October 2016 with the short film "New Venture" (2016) in which Hargadon wrote, produced and starred in.
