Brandon Michael Arrington is an actor best known for portraying Chad Danforth (the role created on screen by Corbin Bleu) in various regional theatre productions of Disney's "High School Musical (2006)," and originating the role of Ziggy in the Off-Broadway production of "Captain Louie" by Stephen Schwartz ("Wicked"). Notable short films and web series include The Story of Jonah and the Whale (Sort of...) (2010)" (2010), Over There (2007) with Uzo Aduba (2007), and Quads! (2011) (2011). While appearing in a community theatre production of "Mr. Scrooge" in Wilmington, North Carolina, Brandon Michael received a glowing review and attracted the notice of the late John Bonitz, owner of BonTalent talent agency. He was officially signed and represented by his first agency at the age of 13. Attending Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, he was awarded the Presidential Scholarship and graduated a year early with a B.A. in Theatre Arts and a minor in Business. Upon moving to New York City, he appeared in numerous musicals including the national tours of "Peter Pan" (2000-01) and "Island of the Blue Dolphins"(2001-2002). He was also cited by the New York Times for his performance as Reggie in Jon Marans' and Edward Thomas' "Irrationals," and played the iconic role of Linus in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. In addition, he booked commercials and international campaigns for brands such as AT&T, Logo, and Smirnoff. In addition to performing, Brandon Michael loves working with kids. He directed and choreographed productions of "Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr." at the Baryshnikov Arts Center and "The Most Epic Birthday Party Ever" at New York Live Arts as part of the Children's Musical Theatre Festival produced by The Broadway Workshop. He has also been an instructor, created original musical compositions, costumes, and curriculum with such Arts Education programs as Periwinkle National Theatre for Youth, The Professional Performing Arts School, Inside Broadway, and Camp Broadway. For more than 10 years he's been involved with D.A.R.E. America and D.E.A. Youth Dance, whose missions are to promote dance as a healthy alternatives to drug abuse and violence. In between gigs, Brandon Michael has pursued a love of pastry with workshops and apprenticeships in the United States, New Zealand, Japan, and the South Pacific. As a professional pastry chef, he specializes in bespoke wedding cakes, custom gourmet gifts, and catered dessert receptions; his business has also been a wholesale supplier to New York City cafés. Brandon Michael, his husband, and their two children split their time between New York City and Toronto, Canada.
