Levi Jacob Klassen (born June 22, 1997) is an American actor. He is known for the role of Jared in feature film Aberdeen (2018). Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Levi began participating in theater, acting, and speech competitions at the age of 10 and now lives in the United States pursuing acting full time. Levi garnered multiple levels of training through acting classes he's taken at Cascadia College and Shoreline Community College such as Introduction to Drama and Introduction to Acting taught by Jacob Hutchison, Ph.D. from the University of Washington in Theater History, Acting Through Film and Tv taught by Debra Pralle, known for Wild (2014) and Seconds (2008), and Dramatic Writing: Film and Tv taught by David Bucci, Masters of Fine Arts in Dramatic Writing. Klassen acted as a supporting character in Aberdeen (2018) starring Isabel Bennett and Cooper Tomlinson, directed by Colton Van Til. Levi and his teammates won Best Picture award for Re: Portality, a short film competition held at Cascadia College/UW Bothell. Levi was the director, playwright, casting director, prop master, and lead in a high school theater project - The Gate in the Desert. He also acted and modeled for his high school's promotional video in Taiwan. The son of two English teachers (Jonathan Klassen and Flora-Hsueh Klassen), Levi is biracial and fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He has one younger brother, Micah Klassen. In addition to acting, he has also been dancing for 10 years. He started off with hip-hop, transitioned to popping, and is now focused on Urban style dancing. He has participated in many dance competitions including the Taipei Metro Dance competition and multiple school-held competitions. He also enjoys traveling, filming, modeling, and playing the piano. He strongly believes in empathy and a "growth mindset" and strives to be among the few Asians to play leading roles in Hollywood films.
