Aizhana Kassymbek

Aizhan Kassymbek is a director and cinematographer from Kazakhstan. She is working on a series of films that take inspiration from the four basic elements, and her first two shorts, "Water" (2018) and "Air" (2018), were screened at festivals in Europe and Asia. 'Fire' (2021) is her first feature film. It premiered at the Busan International Film Festival in 2021 and travelled to the Film Festival Cottbus in Germany and Singapore International Film Festival, among others.
