Henry Aldrich

In the first Henry Aldrich film, Henry (Jackie Cooper) is falsely accused of making trouble at school. He must clear himself.

Young Henry Aldrich would like to win a trip to Alaska, but in order to participate, he must first put up $100. The whole matter sounds awfully fishy. Henry and his pal Dizzy go into the soap business. Their attempt to raise money turns into a disaster when they get the soap formula wrong. But the Alaska trip is really on the level. It's been organized by businessman and philanthropist Sylvanus Q. Sattherwaite. But Henry still doesn't have the money.

Complications arise when Henry Aldrich runs for Centerville High School Student Body President.

In order to impress Phyllis Michael, Henry Aldrich takes a sales job. Soon he is involved with vacuum cleaners, motor boats and a father-son race at a picnic in which he hires a tramp to play his father. Don't ask. He also has to pay for a motor boat which he accidentally destroyed by accident. Henry has some problems to be solved, and his friend Dizzy Stevens isn't likely to be of any help.

Henry (James Lydon) gets into another jam when he becomes the editor of the Centerville Hish School newspaper. The Fire Chief suspects him when he covers fires.

Henry Aldrich becomes the most sought after guy in town when he wins a date with a movie star.

Henry Aldridge (James Lydon) s enamored of his high school music teacher Louise Elliott (Marian Hall), much to the displeasure of his regular girlfriend Miimi Gray (Mimi Chandler.) To buy Miss Hall a highly needed new piano, Henry looks for outside engagements for his swing band and finds one in a shady nightclub with a backroom casino. Before that nightclub date the schoolboys and girls play in accompaniment of the great violist Josef Altman (Fritz Feld.) Altman plays on a Stradivarius worth $10,000 and a couple of crooks are in the audience with a well-devised plan to steal it. But Henry picks up Altman's violin and the crooks get Henry's worthless fiddle instead. Henry unknowingly uses the violin in the nigh club engagement and is forced to leaved it behind when the place is raided. A surge of Henry Aldrich complications arise.

As a boy scout leader, Henry (James Lydon), repeatedly takes the blame for problems caused by a scout in his patrol.

Henry Aldrich swallows a serum by accident and ends up in a "haunted" house.

Henry Aldrich (James Lydon) tries to match his unfriendly teacher, Mr. Bradley (vaughan Glaser) with a wife. Henry hopes the teacher will become friendly enough to let him graduate with honors so he can use an inheritance for college.

Henry and Dizzy have a baby sitting service and get more than they bargain for when the mother of a 10 month old leaves town to clear her husband of a crime.
