Passion of the Christ

Under the direction of Mel Gibson, "The Passion of the Christ" is a religious drama film released in 2004. The film is a deeply religious and highly controversial cinematic experience, that seeks to depict the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus with raw authenticity under the performance of Jim Caviezel.

This film is the sequel of Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ (2004). The Passion of the Christ (2004) focuses on the twenty four hours encompassing Jesus Christ's passion. In the same fashion, the sequel focuses on the events that occurred three days between the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His resurrection.
