V/H/S

A POV, found footage horror film from the perspective of America's top genre filmmakers. A group of misfits are hired by an unknown third party to burglarize a desolate house in the countryside and acquire a rare tape. Upon searching the house, the guys are confronted with a dead body, a hub of old televisions and an endless supply of cryptic footage, each video stranger than the last.

Continuing the saga of POV madness, dread, and gore documented in V/H/S (2012), this new found-footage horror anthology delves deeper into terrifying uncharted territories. Starting with "Tape 49", a team of private investigators breaks into the house of a missing student, only to discover a mountain of VHS tapes brimming with disturbing raw footage. Then, in "Phase I Clinical Trials", a state-of-the-art optical implant bestows poor Herman with unwanted supernatural-detecting abilities, and in "A Ride in the Park", an extreme biking enthusiast finds himself confronted with an all-out zombie apocalypse. Next, in "Safe Haven", a four-member film crew infiltrates a secret Indonesian cult and unearths horrific, reality-defying revelations. Finally, in "Slumber Party Alien Abduction", a sleepover at a lakeside house goes awry when malevolent extraterrestrials crash the party.

V/H/S: Viral is a 2014 American anthology horror film from Bloody Disgusting. The final film in the V/H/S trilogy, created by Brad Miska, features a series of found-footage shorts written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo, Marcel Sarmiento, Gregg Bishop, Justin Benson and Aaron Scott Moorhead.

Five new chapters expand the VHS saga, featuring a new set of horror filmmakers. Starting with "Holy Hell", an armed-to-the-teeth SWAT team storms into a dilapidated warehouse complex and unearths disturbing scenes of sacrifice and the evildoing of an underground snuff/fetish film cult. Then, in "Storm Drain", intrigued by an urban legend, an ambitious TV news reporter and her cameraman enter the city's labyrinthine sewer system looking for a mysterious creature living in the shadows. Next, in "The Empty Wake", a young funeral home attendant oversees an overnight wake for a man who met a horrible end, and strange things happen. Following, in "The Subject", a demented prosthetics genius performing unethical experiments on living tissue attempts to perfect his biomechanical magnum opus. Finally, in "Terror", members of the First Patriots Movement Militia plan to carry out a terrorist attack in Detroit, Michigan, using an incendiary secret weapon of pure evil.

The movie has five found footage horror stories. In "Shredding," a punk rock band meets a grisly fate in an abandoned art collective. "Suicide Bid" explores the supernatural consequences of a fraternity hazing ritual. "Ozzy's Dungeon" puts a sleazy TV host through a brutal obstacle course. "The Gawkers" reveals the disturbing truth behind voyeurism, while "To Hell And Back" follows filmmakers accidentally transported to a demonic dimension, guided by a tortured soul in their quest to escape.

An ominous broadcast brings viewers forgotten nightmares of the 1980s: a disaster recovery crew unleashes the wrath of an ancient god; a lake that brings the dead back to life; a performance art piece makes contact with a creature from the beyond; an all-guns-out undead bloodbath, and a disturbing vision of videotaped murders.

The most popular anthology saga of the moment delves into cosmic horror with six terrifying tales that fuse science-fiction elements. Aliens, zombies, plane crashes, and a touch of Bollywood, among other surprises, await you in this versatile and thrilling collection of scares. It also includes a segment written by Mike Flanagan and directed by Kate Siegel in her directorial debut.
