Father of the Bride

George and his wife Nina are surprised when their daughter Nina, after returning from studying abroad, announces that she is getting married. The news comes as a shock to George, an overprotective father who cannot assimilate the passage of time. Still, now the epicenter of their lives is the wedding they have to organize. This comedy is a remake of Vincente Minnelli's classic of the same name, starring Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor, and in this version Steve Martin plays one of his funniest and most endearing characters.
