Candyman

In pursuit of her academic endeavors, dedicated student Helen Lyle immerses herself in the study of local legends, including the tale of the Candyman. Unconvinced by the ominous warnings from the community, she embarks on an investigation that unravels into a series of gruesome murders. Helen's skepticism is soon tested as she confronts a malevolent force that challenges her perception of myth and reality, leading her on a harrowing journey into the heart of darkness.

The Candyman moves on to New Orleans and starts his horrific murders once more. This time, his intended victim is a school teacher. Her father was killed by the Candyman, and brother wrongly accused of the murders

The Candyman returns to try to convince his female descendent, an artist, to join him as a legendary figure. To this end, he frames her for a series of hideous murders of her friends and associates so that she has nowhere else to turn to.

A visual artist decides to investigate the legend of Candyman to fuel his art. The neighborhood where it all happened has been gentrified, but there are still clues of its history. This sequel directed by Nia daCosta with production by Jordan Peele updates the iconic original film and expands its mythology, rendering a truly frightening thriller.
