Bridget Jones

Bridget Jones lives her single life with anguish and records everything in her personal diary; she is demanding of herself, insecure about her physique and her love life is not going the way she would like it to. Bridget falls in love with Daniel Cleaver, her boss, although she also receives unexpected attention from Mark Darcy, a childhood neighbor. Based on the novel by Helen Fielding, the story is reminiscent of the novel Pride and Prejudice, and features an endearing Renée Zellwegger and Colin Firth, emulating Mr. Darcy from the BBC miniseries.

In this sequel that reprises its original cast, Bridget Jones strengthens her love affair with Mark Darcy and leaves behind the days where she wasted her time with the arrogant Daniel Cleaver. When a colleague of Mark's named Rebecca takes up his time, Bridget becomes jealous and the shadow of the insecurity she seemed to have overcome comes back to haunt her. From then on, Bridget gets caught up in a series of misunderstandings and bad advice that leave her in an unthinkable position.

In this third instalment, Bridget Jones is in her forties and is happy with her job, she has her usual friends and everything seems to be under her control. Even her bachelorhood doesn't worry her, she even meets the American Jack and they have a brief relationship. When Bridget discovers she is pregnant she is not sure if the father is Jack, or Mark Darcy, her former partner. A nice closure to Bridget's story, with enough comedy and plot twists to make it entertaining.
