Makiling (2024)

Amira (Elle Villanueva) is a healer who lives at the foot of Mount Makiling. She and her family help many people with their herbal remedies, but they struggle to make ends meet. To support her family, Amira moves to Manila and works as a janitress in a school. There, she faces the Crazy 5, a group of school bullies who are the children of rich and powerful families. Among them are Portia and Seb (Myrtle Sarrosa and Kristoffer Martin), the heirs of a giant pharmaceutical company, Terra. The bullying escalates until the Crazy 5 try to kill Amira. Their motive is to steal the mysterious plant that Amira and her boyfriend Alex (Derrick Monasterio) discovered in the forest of Makiling - the MUTYA. The Mutya can heal any disease, making it very valuable. The Crazy 5 think they have killed Amira, but after six years, she returns to take revenge. The once gentle and quiet Amira is now fierce, wealthy, sophisticated and cunning. She will make the people who wronged her pay.
