Emperor Ming of the Han Dynasty gave Ban Chao, a member of the Shi Family, the bronze swallow talisman and instructed him to travel to the Western Regions in search of the golden Buddha he had dreamed of as well as the secret to immortality. Ban Chao looked for 36 people, including the masters who were hiding in the capital, the Mo family's descendants, the Pirates' descendants, and the Gu master of Yelang who was traveling with him. Along with granting the emperor's wish, he also sought to learn the history of the Shi family and identify the murderer who had falsely accused his father.
