A detective and a nun investigate a series of heinous crimes that seem personal, while grappling with personal issues and uncovering a sinister web that raises more questions than answers.
WOW! Neicy delivers one hell of a performance in this new series. Grotesquerie wasn't one I had on my highest anticipated shows for the fall season this year, but I am happy to say that it is one of the most thrilling pilots for a horror series I've seen. Ryan Murphy has returned with this new series to bring forward a crafty, and thought-provoking show that a fantastic actor leads in a role that allows her to excel in a way I had never seen her do before. The story itself weaving through from the introduction is what we might expect from Ryan after his tenure with AHS but the way the show moved was somewhat different from his other works and it wasn't a bad thing. From the beginning the levels of psychological terror explored and the possibilities that lay ahead for Lois' case are laid out with both graphic presentation and stunning visual display.
