After unexpectedly taking over the family funeral home business, Reed Acker must adjust to his new life. While dealing with a new student, 2 wacky Funeral Directing Assistants, a cantankerous Funeral Director, a lovable yet flustered Funeral Director, a creepy and silent Embalmer, a much younger stepmother, as well as other colorful characters that enter the funeral home, he must try to keep a level head and make Acker and Sons Funeral Services run smoothly.
