Rafael Portugal comes straight from the inner city. Born in Realengo, Rio de Janeiro (home of the first episode), Rafael is proud of his roots: every chance he gets, he shares funny stories and relives memories of his childhood on that popular carioca hood. Coração Suburbano was his idea: a fun way to bring visibility to the places that he identifies so much, and we think deserve to be known by everyone. Each episode innovates by integrating reality, documentary and fictional languages, with hilarious characters played by him. But what makes each neighborhood so special?
