Rodrigo Arenas Betancur, the greatest Colombian sculptor, dies and his funeral is attended by the people who marked his life. Lying at the bottom of the pit, shortly before receiving the first shovelful of dirt, Arenas sees them lean out one by one while he self-assuredly recounts his experiences.
