A mocumentary that follows Western Sydney rapper Moe Bulldogs, who is trying to become a rap superstar along with his rap crew 'Boyz From Da Area'. Moe is desperate for fame and fortune, looking to escape 'Da Area' (Western Sydney) in search of his place in the pantheons of rap and music history. He takes to the streets of Sydney to recruit his fellow rappers: Preachy-E (a conscious rapper of Cambodian descent), Jack Ladd (a Mt. Druitt local and freestyle rapper), Cuss Man (hailing from Houston, Texas) and Jucilius J. Fox (an aspiring theatre actor who has been duped into joining the rap crew). Under the guidance of the group's suspicious manager Con Mann, the members of 'Boyz From Da Area' try to record their first album, performing in public for confused onlookers whilst looking to escape the manipulative clutches of their producer, Con. Meanwhile, Moe's immigrant cousin 'Gabeer' roams the streets of Sydney in search of a wife so that he can attain an Australian citizenship, exploring the city's cultural and social landscape along the way. He travels to events including Ramadan at Lakemba, the Oz Comicon in Sydney, the Moon Festival in Cabramatta and the Mardi Gras. Moe's travels also take him to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Tokyo, Japan as he looks to expand his understanding of the world he lives in, as well as promote his rap career and crew by interacting and rapping with locals around Asia.
