Every time the red in a country's flag turns out to stand for the blood of those who fought for the country or its freedom (this happens very frequently), there is an animation of a made-up creature or machine killing a fantasy creature. No blood or gore.

Some mild slapstick between presenters, such as getting punched in the face after making bad puns.

Frequent adult jokes, such as comparing the name of the country Djibouti to the words "your booty"

Occasional alcohol jokes. Every time the stars are being sent alcoholic beverages in Fan Friday, the host will say "Here at Geography Now! we do not condone underage drinking. If you're underage, do not drink, however, we are of age, so we can drink."

Occasionally dealing with frightening subject matter, such as real-world slavery, wars and colonialism.
