Unsubscribe is the comedic tale of a relatable group friends who are vigorously independent; occasionally unbalanced; sporadically irresponsible; accidental trouble makers on their best day; trouble seekers on their worst; can be gravely disenchanted by their own submissions but are acutely aware of their power to unsubscribe. Although they don't all reject the same notions, they stand by each other from one unsubscription to the next. These characters are a modern day band of misfits who find themselves caught between the struggles of holding on to the individualism of Generation X; managing the expectations of instant gratification brought on by Millennialism; and keeping up with the ever-changing, influential Internet that defines Generation Z. Trying to adult in a mixed generational genre has ignited both a rebellion against the ordinary and a reluctant urge to "keep up" with the world around them. Any of these generational hybrids will tell you that they identify with certain notions of each while simultaneously unsubscribing from some of the very aspects that systematically define their reality. This series hilariously explores both the surprise victories and unavoidable comedy of errors that follow when our main characters try to navigate adulthood, jobs, relationships, families, friends, love, disappointments, successes and so on, through daily, relatable unsubscriptions. Do they always learn from their mistakes? Absolutely not. Are they actively trying to do better? Sometimes. These five characters have embraced the privilege of unsubscribing, occasionally take it ten steps too far, sometimes don't unsubscribe fast enough and have a tendency to err on the side of "you do you." Good luck convincing them their affinity for unsubscribing has no place in this stage of their life...you might just be their next unsubscription.
