Deborah Vance, a legendary comedian with a long track record, realizes that her career is beginning to dwindle. On the other hand, Ava is a young comedy writer who has already hit a big snag in her career: being canceled for an irreverent tweet. Against their will, the two team up to revamp Deborah's material and form an unlikely mentorship along the way.
