From the beginning of the 18th century to the present day, Stan Neumann unfolds the history of the European workers' world, recalling in a dazzling synthesis all that our societies owe to the struggles of the "damned of the earth". In 4 episodes, this epic fresco recalls what our societies owe to the working class which, for 300 years, has been a driving force in the history of the countries of Europe, through revolutions, wars and social upheavals. The working class, beyond ideologies, is those hundreds of millions of workers who, generation after generation, keep the machines of our industrial world running. Three centuries of work and hope, of battles won and lost. And of life, quite simply. History has changed them and they have changed history, transformed our way of thinking and living together. We owe them our prosperity and our values. Without them, no space travel, no universal suffrage. But what is their place in this world they created?
