Dr. Gruesome's Movie Morgue (1987)

"Dr. Gruesome's Movie Morgue" was a hosted horror movie show with Mark Bartholomew as "Dr. Gruesome", assisted by Matthew Pak as "Skeeter", presenting movies on WRLH-TV, Fox 35, Richmond, Virginia, USA; from December 1987 until April 1990. The showed aired on Saturdays between 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm an 11:00 pm - 1:00 am: then Fridays, 12:00 midnight -2:00 am; then Saturdays 1:00 am .- 3:00 am. First conceived as children's programming, the station wisely moved the show to late night and cornered the late night audience. The show's set resembled a laboratory with fake brick walls adorned with a bizarre array of off-beat toys. Dr. Gruesome was a silver-haired, silver-tongued host whose monologues were uttered at break-neck speed with rapid-fire precision.
