Blik op de Weg was a Dutch television program about road traffic and traffic violations. The program began on November 11, 1991 and was presented for many years by Leo de Haas, who also devised the program. In 2012, Frits Sissing took over the presentation. Blik op de Weg shows through reports and television recordings from video cars driven by police officers that not everyone obeys the traffic rules. Speeding drivers and drivers who run red lights are often shown in the program. The program does show authentic footage, but it does so without sensationalism. It also does not make strong judgments about the events shown. There were regular specials, such as on trucks and motorcycles.
