Wilfred de Bruijn visits various cities and regions in France and talks with the people about what it means to be French these days and what is happening in the area. Their life is not without worries. He meets immigrants living in a Paris 'ghetto', the major that wants to make Nice great (and some homophobes), a winemaking family and it's traditional and not so traditional affairs, a camping ground manager in the country, Breton language, war history, culture and druids with mistletoe. All along the theme of the French Republican mottos: freedom, equality and fraternity.
