The Idiot

Vegas isn't what it used to be, but it sure feels that way for low-level wiseguy and gambling addict Alonzo "Al" Bandini. Owing a large debt to what's left of Vegas' criminal underworld, Al recruits his hopelessly gullible and good-natured neighbor, Joel Wolcott, who also happens to be a brilliant math savant and card counter, to help him win back his debt at the casinos. But Joel's day job, a code cracker for shadowy boss Agent Howard at Area 51, proves to further complicate things as Al is forced to face his secret, possibly extraterrestrial past, and things spiral out of control with his criminal connections. Thankfully Al has Joel to remind him to always look on the bright side and unwitting Joel always has Al to put his life in danger.
