Shortland Street (1992)

A man loses his towel and is trapped naked in a hallway with a couple walking in. A young woman comes to his rescue and stands in front of him covering his nudity from others.

Shortland St is relatively salacious but sexual content is never explicitly shown on screen, only inferred. Occasional instances of Rape and underage sex but never depicted on screen, only inferred.

Regular instances of assault and car crashes; some blood is visible on most occasions.

Slang terms such as jerk, dick, idiot, fag used but more offensive coarse language is avoided.

Occasional use of lower class drugs e.g Marijuana but never explicitly shown on screen. Smoking apparent in early seasons but not in later more current episodes. Alcohol consumed regularly as the show also centers around a bar opposite the hospital. drunk people seen occasionally. Characters seen drinking wine and beer often with dinner and social occasions.

Scenes involving murder, fires, rape and abductions could be frightening for younger viewers but is detail is usually kept to a minimum.
