Swallows and Amazons (1963)

The Walker children are looking out to the Island through their telescope at there holiday in the lake District and they borrow a boat called Swallow and they encounter the Amazon Pirates who have a boat called Amazon and two people one called Sam And the other Called Ernie and are spying on the children and they are after the Amazons Uncles Jim's trunk and The children call him Captain Flint and together the Swallows and Amazons adventure through a parley and a storm and they have a cake and sing happy Birthday to the youngest Walker Bridget on Wild Cat Island and mother gives them troches they learn Adventure and Friendship in this very old black and white version of the Classic tale
