Long Ago and Far Away (1989)

A PBS Television series, variously using stop motion animation, traditional animation, and live-action to adapt various fairy tales and stories from traditional folklore. Among the most prominent fairy tales depicted are "The Pied Piper of Hamelin", "Beauty and the Beast", "Noah's Ark", and Merlin's encounter with the two rival dragons. James Earl Jones was the host for the first two seasons, and he was replaced by several guest narrators in seasons 3 and 4.
