Mézga Family on Holiday (1980)

Paula Mézga, the matriarch of the Mézga family, receives an invitation to spend a holiday in Australia. The invitation was send by her former love interest Pisti Hufnágel, who she has not seen in years. The entire family and the family friend Dr. Ottokár Máris join the trip. They soon realize that Pisti is a con-artist, and the crook leaves them abandoned and broke. The travelers effectively travel around the world while simply trying to return to their home. Pisti is covertly following them and keeps sabotaging their efforts.
