Doggie Moms (2011)

Doggie Moms follows a group of New York City women whose lives revolve around their dogs - doggie dates, birthday parties, weddings, meet-ups, pageants, fashion shows, costume contests, fundraisers, you name it. These doggie moms are tenacious about ensuring the best for their babies, pinning all of their hopes and dreams on their four-legged, furry "children." Created by Next Millennium Productions, the six part series features five "moms" as they compete for fame and fortune and jockey for social stature in the doggie world. The moms have a lot of heart too, working tirelessly to give back to the community, raising money for local animal shelters and other charities. Some have even prepared their pets to be therapy dogs who comfort the sick and elderly. The series also serves as a resource for pet owners in the City, sharing details about the guidelines behind licenses, transporting dogs, microchipping, spaying and neutering and more. Episodes look at the importance of grooming and nutrition, adopting shelter pets, pet first aid, how to volunteer to help animals and more.
